Start Ad Hoc Query (H00_ADHOCQUERY)

Purpose
The Start Ad Hoc Query report (H00_ADHOCQUERY) is used to startHR Ad Hoc Query. The system uses the values specified for thequery area,user group, andfunctional area. If youstart Ad Hoc Query with this report, the specified functional area isimmediately available.

Integration
You can integrate this report with a variant as transactions in areamenus, or you can use it in roles so that you can start Ad Hoc Querydirectly with a specific functional area.

Prerequisites
The required functional area is defined in SAP Query.

Example
You always want Ad Hoc Query to start in the PersonnelAdministration information system with a functional area that isspecifically relevant to Personnel Administration. Therefore, youdefine a variant with the appropriate query area and the functionalarea to be used. (Do not specify a user group!) You also activate theIgnore SET/GET parameters indicator to ensure that existingSET/GET parameters are overriden by the values entered here when Ad HocQuery is started. To prevent the variant from being changed, protect itwhen you save it.
You can use area menu maintenance to integrate the report with thevariant in the Personnel Administration information system, oryou can use a role to include them in a user-specific menu.
