Oracle SID of a Standby Database Instance Parameter description
If more than one Oracle databse instance was installed (Oracle ParallelServer Option), then you can use the parameter above in the profile ofeach application server to define a standby database instance for thecurrent application server. If the priofile parameterrsdb/reco_trials is set for the databasereconnect without restarting the work process then the DB reconnectautomatically takes place on the defined standby database instance ifthe original database instance of the application server can no longerbe reached. The prerequisite for this is that the profile parameterrsdb/oracle_host_standby is alsodefined.Work area
