Summary :
In environments operating under SAP application servers for ENQ work processes, symptoms have been reported where DIA or BTC processes experience occasional delays due to semaphore 38. The issue, precipitated by a programming error in the CCMS segment of the enqueue process, shows elevated engagements with semaphore 26 and a noticeably higher activity with semaphore 38, detailed under ST02's semaphore analysis. This irregularity does not manifest on systems with standalone enqueue servers or without an enqueue process configured. To resolve this, implement the kernel patch as per the following levels: 4.6D from patch level 2255, 6.40 from 136, and 7.00 from 66.
