SAP Note 937934 - CC-ADMIN : Buffer reset option in SCC1

Component : Client Copy (For ByD issues select BC-TLM-CP) -

Solution : https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/937934 (SAP Service marketplace login required)

Summary :
When performing frequent client copies in SAP using the SCC1 transaction, resetting buffers can significantly impact system performance. The buffer reset ensures data is up-to-the-minute across multiple application servers and improves performance when making extensive changes, as it avoids costly buffer inserts. For scenarios where buffer reset detrimentally affects performance, the SCC1_NOBUF option, activated via the RSCCEXPT report, can be employed to bypass this issue. Administrators should verify recent data changes across application servers before opting for SCC1_NOBUF to prevent data inconsistencies, especially in multi-server environments. Implementing the SCC1_NOBUF option is managed by creating it before WAS 6.40 using RSCC_CREATE_CCOPTION and in later versions through client copy expert settings.
