Summary :
In instances where J2EE Engine freezes, the XI/PI message transmission via Adapter Framework ceases, and system start-up issues occur, appropriate adjustments to the thread and connection configurations could resolve the issues. Systems based on versions 6.40 and 7.0 exhibit logon failures to the Visual Administrator, and in version 7.1, the SAP NetWeaver Administrator becomes unresponsive. The root cause is all system/application threads are utilized. Solutions include increasing the MaxThreadCount for application and system level threads using the "Config Tool." Additionally, altering the database connection pool settings might be necessary, as detailed in SAP note 924524, to accommodate the increased thread counts. Upgrading the MaxThreadCount beyond default values, as specified, may also necessitate the consideration of additional server nodes to handle enhanced loads efficiently.
