SAP Note 931971 - Decimal places in stocks and stock postings

Component : Inventory Management -

Solution : https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/931971 (SAP Service marketplace login required)

Summary :
This SAP Note addresses discrepancies in the number of decimal places for units of measurement in stock postings, despite Customizing settings. The note specifies that while settings in Customizing (T006-DECAN) influence the display of material document quantities, they do not prevent manual entry of values with more decimal places, up to three, as permitted by the field domain MENG13. It's highlighted that Customizing affects only display settings; actual storage and manual input of data are not restricted by these settings. Further insights are referred to in related SAP Notes 95869, 22043, and 77525.
