Summary :
When an incorrect value is entered in the preselection field and F4 is pressed, the application aborts due to BRAIN 599 being triggered from the OLAP engine. This issue, along with error BRAIN 627, arises on the variable screen with F4 and the filter dialog. The expected process is error handling, not abortion. SAP recommends importing Support Package 31 for BW3.0B, Support Package 25 for BW3.1C, and Support Package 17 for BW3.50. These contain corrections and are detailed in respective SAP Notes. Immediate correction instructions are available for urgent implementations.
