Summary :
Since SAP Release 4.0A, changes to master data for equipment and functional locations can be made using customer exits introduced in specific enhancement modules through transaction SMOD. These exits, including IQSM0001 for auto-assigning serial numbers and IQSM0003 and IQSM0004 for additional data maintenance and user-defined checks, integrate directly into systematic processes like movement and storage of serial numbers and master data handling of equipment and functional locations (IEQM0003, ILOM0001). Technical structures like ISTRU_EQ, ISTRU_EZ, and IFLO_USR1 facilitate data transfer, with CI includes enabling customer-specific enhancements, ensuring flexibility in data management and integrity after exit utilization.
