SAP Note 925741 - Adobe document services (ADS) with non-supported platforms

Component : Forms Processing -

Solution : https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/925741 (SAP Service marketplace login required)

Summary :
Adobe Document Services (ADS) are limited to certain 64-bit platforms on SAP NetWeaver, excluding some default installations like SAP NetWeaver '04. To incorporate ADS on non-supported platforms, the essential step is to install a stand-alone Application Server Java on an ADS-supported platform. For systems beginning with NetWeaver 7.0, ADS is bundled and often preconfigured. Further configuration steps involve establishing specific HTTP connections and user roles in both ABAP and Java systems to integrate ADS effectively. This includes setting parameters in SM59 and Visual Administrator or NetWeaver Administrator, modifying destination configurations, and securing communication via Basic Authentication.
