Summary :
The note clarifies response time and CPU time definitions in the SAP R/3 workload monitor (ST03, ST03N). Response time is the duration from request arrival to processing completion in the R/3 system and includes wait, load/generation, database, roll-in, and enqueue times. Subtracting these from the response time gives the processing time. CPU time, embedded within the response time, is the total time for a transaction step, derived from the operating system. Roll-out time is not part of the response time, while roll wait time, particularly in RFC and external application scenarios, is handled separately in releases from 4.0 onwards.
Key words :
long roll wait times occur frequently, processing time = response time- wait time, front-end office applications, long roll wait time, called 'roll wait time', roll wait time elapses, slightly longer cpu time, - db procedure time time, roll wait times, roll wait time
