Summary :
In the SAP environment, server agents like "sapccmsr" and "sapccm4x" may fail to start or stop abruptly on Windows, or issue a duplication error message on UNIX, indicating that an agent is already running with the specified profile. This is typically due to the retention of previous instance data in shared memory segments, which are not cleared if an agent stops unexpectedly. Each segment, identified by a specific instance or a general instance number 99, should only run one agent at a time. If such issues occur, verify the agent's process existence through its log and initialize the administrative data in the shared memory using the "-initshm" command for respective instances, allowing a restart of the agent service.
