SAP Note 870445 - SAPJup J2EE Engine Password Does Not Change After an Upgrade

Component : Upgrade tools for Java -

Solution : https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/870445 (SAP Service marketplace login required)

Summary :
Following an upgrade from SAP NetWeaver release 2004 to release 7.0, administrators may face a password change requirement for the J2EE Engine administrator account due to updated security protocols. The external J2EE Engine tools like SDM, ATS, and JSPM are not automatically notified of these password updates. The password, managed by the User Management Engine (UME), must also be manually updated in the secure store using the Config Tool. This involves executing specific scripts, selecting the proper store and admin entry, and updating the password value accordingly. A restart of the J2EE Engine is required to finalize these changes.

Key words :
>/j2ee/configtool/configtool script file, admin/password/<sid> entry, terms sap nw04 upgrade, /usr/sap/<sid>/<instance, j2ee engine administrator password, j2ee engine administrator user, j2ee administrator password, user management engine, j2ee engine read, choose file -> apply
