SAP Note 855959 - Activation of Extension Sets via SPRO not successful

Component : Implementation Guide - Business Configuration Sets

Solution : https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/855959 (SAP Service marketplace login required)

Summary :
After activating extension sets through the SPRO transaction in the SAP Reference IMG, users may encounter issues with these sets not appearing in the Easy Access menu or the Reference IMG. This problem typically occurs due to improper client settings during the activation process. For successful extension set activation, the client must be in a non-productive role (Development, Test, or Customizing). Additionally, specific SCC4 client settings need to be maintained, including enabling automatic recording of changes, allowing cross-client object changes, and setting a no protection level for the client copier and comparison tool. If issues persist, checking the activation logs via SCPR20PR for specific Classical BC Sets related to the extension can identify the problem. Successful activation is indicated by green status in the logs, while red indicates issues. Manual activation of Classical BC Sets via SCPR20 may be required if automated processes fail.
