Summary :
When editing an FI document via transactions FB02, FBD2, or FBM2, users may find that some fields are not editable. This issue generally arises from improper Customizing settings. Initially, verify the configuration in the TBAER table using transaction SM30, ensuring the field's presence, proper rule definition, and the "Field Can Be Changed" status. If fields remain uneditable, determine if they are used in FI-SL field movements through SE37 and function module G_CHECK_FIELD_USED_IN_GLX. If this checks out, it could be inherent characteristics of the screen where some fields, determined by group settings, may be inherently non-editable. Additionally, address settings in table TCOBX as well.
