Summary :
IDES demo systems replicate SAP's internal demo systems and include data from the IDES model company across various clients. These systems are strictly for demonstration, self-study, testing, or functional evaluations and must not be used in production environments. They lack the specific training data used in SAP training courses, and customer training using these systems is unsupported. Hardware sizing can be referred to in specific IDES notes or via the SAP Service Marketplace sizing tools. IDES should be installed as a separate system, and mixing with other models or systems is discouraged. Updating with standard SAP Support Packages is possible, however, applying Enhancement Packages should coincide with customer licensing agreement. Upgrades normally require a new installation to ensure full functionality of the operational demo system. IDEs systems, excluding specific enhancements, do not include additional demo data after technical upgrades and can be ordered through the SAP Software Catalog.
