SAP Note 798500 - Dealing with repositories after a system copy

Component : SAP Content Server -

Solution : https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/798500 (SAP Service marketplace login required)

Summary :
Following an SAP system copy, it is essential to handle the target system's configuration to ensure proper system separation and data security. The target system, duplicating both the repository definition table (transaction OAC0) and private key security environment (PSE) from the source system, has default access to the source system’s repositories. Removal of repositories should be performed cautiously; deleting repository definitions in OAC0 without removing associated data from the content server can risk accidental deletion of source system data. Necessary post-copy actions include changing the content server hostnames in OAC0, generating new PSE for target systems using transactions PSEMAINT or STRUST, maintaining AdminSecurity, and ensuring unique administrative passwords across servers to secure data integrity and access.
