Summary :
In cases of data upload to the Persistent Staging Area (PSA) in SAP BW environments, an issue arises where the RSMONICDP table encounters excessive locking, cumulatively initiating locks about 100 times per data package. This issue is identified as a defect in programming. As remedial measures, the following SAP BW versions require specific support packages: BW 2.0B (Support Package 40), BW 2.1C (Support Package 32), BW 3.0B (Support Package 26), BW 3.10 (Support Package 20), and BW 3.5 (Support Package 11). These updates, detailed further in upcoming SAP Notes, are necessary to resolve the locking issue.
