Summary :
Since Release 3.0F, SAP systems provide the ability to maintain Customizing settings directly from the application menu in "non-changeable" systems via specific Customizing objects. Issues may arise if this function is unflagged, disallowing modification. For Releases 3.0F to 4.5, a specific report must be created and executed to address this, while in Release 4.6 and later, the maintenance of these settings is moved to IMG, where the 'Current settings' flag can be directly managed. This process is crucial only in production clients, with adjustments regarding IMG activities and transport management highlighted in SAP Notes 356483 and 135028 to ensure proper setting maintenance.
