Summary :
SAP Note addresses issues in reorder point planning and storage location MRP in Release 3.0, where no new order proposals or stock transfer reservations arise when sufficient fixed inputs are present. These issues occur even if stock levels are insufficient relative to reorder and maximum stock levels. Rescheduling proposals are governed by the rescheduling horizon as set in Customizing. Release 4.0 will bring enhanced logic where fixed inputs inside and outside the replenishment lead time are better utilized, altering the generation of rescheduling proposals and their impact on material shortage mitigation.
