Summary :
In English:
System administrators seeking to remove old corrections, repairs, and transport requests should preferably archive, but deleting them is also an option. The database and file system can reuse this space, particularly valuable with large transport data volumes. Since Release 2.2, transaction SE06 no longer supports deleting these items, only setting them to RELEASED. Deletion can hinder modification adjustments during upgrades and cause transport number conflicts. An archiving method is planned but not in Release 3.0. For directories like /usr/sap/trans, use the 'clearold' function and create a subdirectory /usr/sap/trans/olddata. For older releases, see Note 41731 and for 3.0 upwards, see Note 41732 and online documentation.
