Summary :
This SAP note addresses the behavior of configuration transfers within service orders linked to quotations and subsequently referenced sales orders. When a quotation configured with a service material is used to create a service order, any configuration updates in the quotation also update the service order. However, if a sales order, referencing the quotation, changes the configuration and is then deleted, updates to the quotation's configuration fail to propagate to the service could order. This occurs because the deletion of the sales order de-links the original association between the quotation and service order, despite reversion to the quotation. Additionally, the customizing setting under 'Copying logic for the configuration' (TVCPA-COPY_CON) affects whether subsequent changes in the quotation can update the service order configurations. This behavior is by design to ensure explicit control over configuration ownership between sales and service documents.
