Summary :
SAP has outlined a requirement to switch from HTTP to HTTPS for accessing external content servers to enhance security via its HTTP content server interface. This transition mandates that the content servers process HTTPS requests. Since Release 4.6C, SAP supports HTTPS, requiring separate maintenance of HTTP and HTTPS ports in customization from Release 4.6D onwards. Customization includes setting the %HTTPS OK code in OAC0 transaction to indicate HTTPS preference. HTTPS activation is also necessary for SAPHTTP, the HTTP plugin in the Web Application Server, browsers, and external viewers to handle secure connections effectively.
