When attempting to use Transaction 'Change outbound delivery' (VL02. the changeability of the delivery document is notably restricted once the respective shipment status is marked complete or shipment costs have been calculated, as indicated by Messages VW292, VW293, or VW294. This limitation impacts the process flow adversely. The restrictions are due to the dependence of the shipment document and cost calculations on the original delivery data, and changes therein can lead to inconsistencies. To manage the return value of shipment status checks, use SAP enhancement V56L0001 along with the user exit provided in SD_DELIVERY_SHIPMENT_STATUS. Doing so allows flexibility while ensuring data integrity. Changes such as deletion or adjustments of delivery items post-calculation are restricted to avoid calculation errors, particularly if the changes affect shipment cost calculations.
