SAP Note 696275 - Activate the RFC trace in the SAP GUI

Component : Graphical User Interface -

Solution : https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/696275 (SAP Service marketplace login required)

Summary :
Starting from SAP GUI 6.20 patch level 43 and in SAP GUI 6.40, users can activate RFC tracing directly within the Options dialog box under the "Trace" tab, thereby eliminating the need to restart sessions or manually set RFC_TRACE and RFC_TRACE_DUMP environment variables. To enable detailed RFC tracing, including hex dumps, select the related checkboxes in the trace components list. Deactivation of the RFC trace can be performed similarly. Note that RFC trace files are stored separately in the SAPWORKDIR and not within the standard SAP GUI trace file.
