Summary :
When manually or automatically creating settlement rules for a WBS element via transactions CJB1/CJB2, it is observed that a characteristic value does not copy to the profitability segment. This issue arises when a WBS element is linked with multiple sales and distribution document items. The standard SAP system transfers only those characteristic values that match across all linked document items. The system lacks the capability to decide autonomously in cases of ambiguous characteristic values. Options for resolution include using predefined solutions that ensure uniqueness or implementing custom logic via user exit COPA0001 to manage the characteristic values.
