Updating relations within the CRM server can trigger error B1015 in the R/3 system when a partner function involving a customer and an external contact person is first established in R/3. This error is caused because the CRM server additionally creates a contact person relationship, which does not synchronize with the R/3 model. Not referenced in R/3, any subsequent modifications to this contact relationship in CRM prompt the error.
