In SAP transactions VL01 and VL02, when batching operations exceed the open delivery quantity on the batch split screen, a program error induces incorrect picking quantities at the item level on the subsequent picking screen. This issue surfaces if the quantity earmarked for a batch supersedes the delivery's total open quantity, causing an over-assignment that's falsely reflected as a difference in the later picking overview, even though all batches have been correctly allocated. To rectify, users initially encounter an error and must adjust the quantity. Implementing note 43324 and the provided source code corrects this error.
