Summary :
When attempting to convert the batch level from plant to material in SAP, users may encounter limitations with the standard report (transaction OMCT) used in batch management customization. This report may not perform the conversion due to the inability to specify plant definitions for individual batches distinctly or because the batch management is not uniquely cross-plant for specific materials - consult SAP Note 533276 in such cases. For large batch numbers, a conversion report developed by batch development can be employed, requiring minimal manual intervention but necessitating a leading plant for data retention. Custom adjustments for specific business processes are chargeable. Contact BMTools@sap.com for more details.
