SAP Note 51789 - Poor user distribution in logon distribution

Component : Workload Balancing and Group Management -

Solution : https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/51789 (SAP Service marketplace login required)

Summary :
SAP Note addresses issues with application server selection during user logons, potentially causing performance lags and server overload. Previously, response time was overly prioritized over user count in server selection algorithms. Corrections necessitate manual re-implementation post-upgrade, altering weight factors from 5:1 to 1:5 between response time and user amount in the selection process, across SAP releases prior to 45B and up to version 610. Changes ensure a balanced server load by modifying programming objects like REPS (Reports) and enhancing server selection fairness.
