Summary :
After a system migration involving a change in code page (e.g., EBCDIC to ASCII, non-Unicode to Unicode), reading pre-migration table change logs may be impaired due to the logs being stored in an unstructured LRAW field. This scenario is common in upgrades and hardware migrations that also include a change in code page. To resolve this, SAP Web Application Server Release 6.30 or higher is required, or for earlier versions, implementation of note 513839 is necessary. This allows for the use of the log analysis report RSVTPROT to run a code page conversion on the logs, ensuring they align with the new system settings. Configuration can be done via transactions SM30 or SPRO for maintaining or documenting code page changes.
