SAP Note 507667 - SAP logon control and SAPLOGON_INI_FILE environment variable

Component : Function, Logon and Table OCX Control -

Solution : https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/507667 (SAP Service marketplace login required)

Summary :
The SAP logon control (wdtlog.ocx) may not display the same systems list as seen in SAP logon (saplogon.exe) and SAP logon pad (saplgpad.exe). This discrepancy stems from the SAP logon control operating with the SAPLOGON.INI file, which may not have been updated or configured consistently. Users can modify this file using saplogon.exe to ensure it contains all necessary systems. The file search sequence prioritizes the SAPLOGON_INI_FILE environment variable, the current directory, and the Windows directory. Additional command line support is provided by saplogon.exe, but not by all applications, like the Excel-based BW BEx Analyzer, which limits direct command line interactions.

Key words :
/ini_file command line parameter, support command line parameters, sap logon control trace, sap logon control, sap logon pad, terms business explorer, bex analyzer reason, bw bex analyzer, saplogon_ini_file environment variable, current working directory
