Summary :
Due to ongoing issues with remote connections using unofficial IP addresses, SAP now mandates that connections can only be established from officially registered IP addresses. For customers unable to secure an official IP directly, SAP provides an allocation procedure for official IP addresses via SAProuter. This includes one official IP for WAN interfaces and a subnet for SAProuter within LANs, with registration handled by SAP. Official IPs are necessary for DIAL-IN, VPN, and SNC connections, while internal networks may continue using unofficial IPs alongside the official ones for interfaces.
