Summary :
As of SAP Release 4.6C, the balance carryforward programs have been consolidated. The new SAPFGVTR program replaces the obsolete SAPF011 for conducting balance carryforwards across both General Ledger (FI-GL) and Special Purpose and standard ledgers (FI-SL). Users must initiate this process via specific transactions; SE38 is no longer supported. Output is now managed through ALV (ABAP List Viewer), enhancing display functionality. For detailed usage, several transaction codes like F.16, GVTR, and GLGVTR are delineated for various applications and ledger types, ensuring compliance with updated internal data handling (switch from EXTRACT to internal tables) and necessary authorizations (G_REPO_LOC).
