Summary :
When creating a purchase order in an SAP system, users may encounter the ME791 error if there is a mismatch in the unit of measure settings. Specifically, this issue arises when the "LE" unit of measure, selected as either the base unit (EKPO-MEINS) or the purchase order price unit, has been assigned an ISO code "PCE" that is also the primary code for the "ST" unit. This discrepancy leads to errors when posting an order confirmation (ORDRSP). To resolve this, assign a unique ISO code as the primary code to the "LE" unit of measure and ensure vendor systems are similarly updated. The ISO codes and units of measure can be referenced via Transaction CUNI or Customizing table T006.
