The identified symptom arises when there has been a model change, which results in a system prompt indicating a nonexistent value for a characteristic. This affects the value assignment interface, where values are not properly displayed, highlighted by message C1843. Users of transaction VA03 are primarily impacted. To resolve this issue, SAP recommends implementing an advance correction along with Note 394561 to ensure correct values are displayed and system consistency.
