Summary :
During the prepare phase of a SAP BW upgrade, the system might block the upgrade due to inconsistencies in DDIC objects like InfoObjects, InfoCubes, and transfer structures. Identified errors include R7000 for InfoObject activation, reactivation requests for InfoCubes, and activation demands for transfer rules. To resolve these, the SAP note advises using transactions RSD1 and RSA1 or corresponding programs (e.g., RSDG_CUBE_ACTIVATE, RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL) to repair and activate these objects. Executing these corrections ensures the upgrade process can resume by maintaining the integrity and consistency necessary for the system upgrade.
