Summary :
This SAP Note addresses issues related to the non-inclusion of the time profile in production planning runs and the relevant PP heuristics. It discusses why, during production and interactive planning, the time profile might not be considered due to fixed limitations in planning file entries and net requirements calculations. Additionally, it confirms there is limited support for time profiles in standard PP heuristics, with the exception being those focused exclusively on rescheduling functions. A solution is proposed where short-term planning within a specific horizon can be done using heuristic SAP_PP_004, without affecting the broader production horizon planning.
