Summary :
Since the SAP Release 4.6C, the Audit Information System (AIS) implementation has evolved from a menu technique (transaction SECR) to a role-based system managed through transaction PFCG. Current AIS setup consists of various single roles, grouped under transaction roles, authorization roles, and compiled into composite roles for clarity. Users can access the AIS standard roles in SAP systems by utilizing transaction PFCG and entering “SAP*AUDITOR*”. While transaction roles manage menus without authorization values, authorization roles possess authorization values but lack menus. To access, single roles must be supplemented subsequently with appropriate authorization values, particularly focusing on display authorizations. Detailed lists of roles are tailored to specific audits such as system, business, tax, and more, reflecting changes across different SAP versions and support packages.
