Summary :
When updating deliveries in SAP, a 'DUPREC' error in table LIPS can occur due to duplicate item numbers when multiple orders, containing the same item numbers, are combined into a single delivery. This happens because TVCPL settings are instructed to copy item numbers from orders into deliveries, which leads to redundant entries in the table LIPS, triggering an interruption in transaction VL04. To resolve this, adjust the copying control settings in TVCPT at transaction VTLA to prevent copying item numbers from orders. This correction must be maintained even when implementing Hot Packages, as they might overwrite these custom changes.
