SAP Note 448402 - DDIC activation error during upgrade: missing data elements

Component : Upgrade - general -

Solution : https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/448402 (SAP Service marketplace login required)

Summary :
During the upgrade process involving SAP R/3 Support Package, activation errors were reported due to issues with specific data elements ("NO_REQUIREMENTS" and "NO_SCHEDULING") failing to activate. These issues originated from a known error in SAPKH46C19 but surfaced only if SAPKH46C27 or higher was included in the upgrade. To resolve these errors, unlocking the system for corrections and creating the data elements afresh in transaction SE11 is recommended. Additionally, setting the 'lockflag' for the affected transactions during MODPROF_TRANS phase can proactively prevent these errors.

Key words :
update e071 set lockflag = '3', /3 support package sapkh46c19 contained, enter data type 'char', select 'data element' -> 'check', /3 support package sapkh46c27, select 'elementary type', start transaction se11, development class 'va', select 'data type', 'field label' tab
