Summary :
Preparing setup tables in the SAP R/3 system for logistics data extraction to a BW system can be time-consuming, especially during periods of no posting. The complexity is due to large data sets required for setup. To enhance efficiency, setup jobs can be scheduled in parallel, except for certain applications like OLIQBW. For instance, different ranges of documents can be managed in separate jobs. Additionally, unchanged old documents can be set up for active systems. Importantly, delta initialization’s performance isn't enhanced by InfoPackage selections since complete setup tables are read and selections should be pre-configured.
