SAP Note 410128 - Function does not fit into the existing function group

Component : Online Corr. Support (Tools:Supp.-Pack., Addon Install/Upgr) - Upgrade Tools

Solution : https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/410128 (SAP Service marketplace login required)

Summary :
This SAP Note addresses an error that occurs during the import of function modules (Transport object LIMU FUNC), specifically when a function does not align with the existing function group in the target system. The error is described by messages 2EETW165 and 2ETW167, suggesting the transport of the entire function group for consistency. The error generally arises due to modifications in the function group's sequence in the target system compared to the source. A comprehensive solution is transportation of the whole function group, ensuring consistency post-import. Additionally, special logic applicable from Release 4.5B mentions that function modules with only a different include number but otherwise unchanged in the function group will still be imported, with only a warning issued to repair discrepancies using the Modification Assistant. This approach is pertinent especially when errors might be suppressed due to function modules added directly by the customer, leading to internal number discrepancies.
