Summary :
Incorrect results may occur in SAP queries performing star transformation on temporary tables referencing partitioned statistics-built tables, due to an Oracle bug (#1502624). Affected Oracle versions are 8.1.5, 8.1.6, and 8.1.7, with resolution available from Oracle 8.1.7.1 and 9.0 onwards. Issues occur under configurations where `STAR_TRANSFORMATION_ENABLED=TRUE` is set in `init.ora`. Resolving patches for various platforms and Oracle versions are detailed on sapserv, which also address issues noted in SAP note 360876. Deploying these fixes following platform-specific instructions will mitigate the described issue.
