Summary :
When conducting results analysis for various objects and transferring data to Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) and Financial Accounting (FI), discrepancies can occur between the periodic values reported in CO-PC, CO-OM, or PS, and the values in FI or CO-PA. This is often due to results analyses conducted retroactively for already closed periods without prior settlement of newly determined data. Ensuring accurate period alignment and considering the influence of non-periodic factors like status or planning data adjustments is crucial. Two settlement scenarios—cumulative and periodic—result in different alignment of results. This SAP Note provides guidance on corrective actions based on the desired alignment of results across periods and modules, suggesting reversal or re-execution of settlements and results analysis under specific rules dependent on whether the results analysis updates line items.
