Predominantly occurring post-upgrade to Oracle 8.0.6, these errors are traced back to improper settings in the Oracle client libraries. To resolve the issue, users should confirm the LD_LIBRARY_PATH variable is set correctly to "$ORACLE_HOME/lib" without any unsupported paths (such as "/oracle/805_32/lib"). If problems persist, relinking Oracle software as outlined in SAP Note 97953 is recommended.
