When creating purchase requisitions from non-stock components in orders and networks using transactions IW31, IW32, CO01, CO02, CN21, CN22, source determination does not occur automatically. This functionality was not originally programmed into SAP. For systems running versions later than 3.0, a modification or development request (number 18342 from 1996) addresses this issue. As a workaround, users should explore determining the source manually through batch processes or via Transaction ME57, particularly since source determination is critical for performance in these scenarios.
