Summary :
This SAP Note guides consultants on the safe removal of fields (characteristics, value fields, or quantity fields) from an operating concern in CO-PA that already contains data. It emphasizes the importance of data and system backup, and the imperative need to remove all related objects, such to avoid system disruptions. Starting from SAP Release 4.6, a standard function for deleting fields will be available. The consultant must regenerate the operating concern to update involved data structures post-deletion. Transportation of deletion across systems is not supported and must be re-executed in each instance independently. This note is applicable only to experienced consultants familiar with CO-PA and development environments, and presupposes sufficient hardware resources for database operations during this process.
