Summary :
This SAP Note elucidates the standard R/3 pricing mechanism for determining the net price, involved units of measure, and corresponding values. The net price calculation is based on three scenarios: (1) Price units and units of measure are taken from the last active, non-statistical price if it does not involve a percentage or absolute type. If unavailable, (2) these units are derived from the first active, statistical price under similar conditions. Otherwise, (3) the system uses the material's base unit of measure with '1' as the price unit. Additionally, the net price's currency is always the same as the document currency, and the net price value is calculated by dividing the net value by quantity, considering the defined price unit. Special logic applies if the net value matches the value of the last active, non-statistical condition, implementing direct condition rate usage to avoid rounding issues. Conversion factors are crucial for quantity conversions between units. Modifications outside standard processing could require manual adjustments to ensure values like conversion factors are accurately incorporated.
