Summary :
This SAP Note provides guidance on adding entries or submenus to SAP-delivered or customer-specific transportable area menus post-Basis Release 4.6B. Enhancements are maintained through updates and are applicable only in systems other than the menu's origin. Two scenarios are covered: enhancing SAP-provided area menus with certain support packages or notes, and enhancing customer-specific area menus linked to an assigned, permanent transport layer. Enhancement is executed by selecting 'Enhance' in transaction SE43, creating or using an existing enhancement ID, and making targeted modifications which remain post-upgrade and are visible only where the enhancement ID exists. These modifications generate a system modification warning which can be disregarded.
