SAP Note 19188 - Allocation: Tracing factor based on external table

Component : Closing operations / Period-End - Closing Operations / Period-End

Summary :
Following the implementation of Note 319913, significant performance issues were still observed in FI-SL or NewGL during allocations with fixed tracing factors like 'Fixed percentages' or 'Fixed portions.' To address inefficiencies in master data determination, a separate table (e.g., ZZVT) should be created to facilitate rapid verification and data manipulation, streamlining the processing of allocations. This approach helps in organizing external data (e.g., from EXCEL files) effectively, thus enhancing overall system performance. Essential configuration changes include creating the ZZVT table, modifying summary and line item tables, and defining new field groups for efficient distribution and tracking. Implementation steps are precisely outlined for users proficient with FI-SL or NewGL applications.
